Landlords
Insulation is now compulsory for all rental homes in NZ. We can make an assessment and retrofit insulation in any home to ensure your property is compliant - and remains attractive to tenants.
The Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2016 was passed in June 2016, with a new section containing two new requirements for landlords regarding insulation:
-
All new tenancy agreements from 1 July 2016 must disclose the level of a property's insulation in the walls, ceiling and underfloor. This means that when a tenant gives notice or a fixed-term tenancy ends, someone must assess the property's insulation. Failure to do so is illegal.
-
Every rental property must be insulated by 1 July 2019.
Builders and developers
Building a new house? Let Waiheke Insulation take care of your ceiling, underfloor, or wall insulation to ensure your project stays on track, within budget and meets - or exceeds - NZ Building Code requirements for your new home's thermal envelope.
Wall insulation alone can reduce heat-loss by a third. Make sure your new investment gets bang for its buck, and maximise the opportunity of your new build to achieve optimum health, comfort and efficiency.
Home owners
Good quality insulation can improve the health of your family, and reduce your power bill.
Retrofitting your home can be one one of the best investments you'll make. You might even be eligible for financial assistance. Talk to Waiheke Insulation about how you can transform your home.
